Cookie Policy

We use six small pieces of browser storage. Four keep you signed in or keep the site secure, and two remember a preference you chose yourself. That is the whole list.

There are no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, and no third-party scripts on this site. Nothing here tracks you across other websites, builds a profile of you, or is shared with an ad network. That is also why you do not see a cookie consent banner — there is nothing to consent to that we could honestly turn off. Section 4 explains the reasoning in full.

“First-party” means the item is set by realdealexchange.tech itself and is readable only by us. We currently set no third-party storage of any kind.

• rdx_sess_at

  Purpose

  Keeps you signed in. This is your session access token — without it, every page would ask you to log in again.

  Matches the token lifetime issued at sign-in (typically about one hour); refreshed automatically.

  Purpose

  Renews your session in the background so a short-lived access token does not log you out mid-task.

• rdx_gate

  Purpose

  Security. It carries a signed token that tells our servers the request came from a real browser session, so automated scripts cannot hit the endpoints that return contact data or consume paid data credits. It holds no identifier for you and is not read by anything else.

  Purpose

  Remembers the listings you last put side by side in the comparison screen, so leaving the page and coming back does not empty it. It holds up to four listing references — the same ones already visible in the URL — and nothing about you. It is written only if you use the comparison tool, and deleted the moment you empty it.

To be specific, this site does not load or set:

• Analytics or measurement tools (no Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or similar);
• Advertising or retargeting pixels (no Meta Pixel, no ad-network tags);
• Session-recording, heatmap, or behavioral-analytics tools;
• Social media embeds, comment widgets, or third-party chat widgets;
• Any cookie or storage item used for cross-context behavioral advertising.

If that ever changes, we will update this page and — where the law requires consent — ask you before setting anything new.

A consent banner exists to give you a real choice about storage that is not essential. Every item in Section 2 is either required to operate the site or created only because you asked for it, so a banner would offer a choice we could not actually honor. We think a banner that toggles nothing is worse than no banner: it suggests something is being tracked when nothing is.

United States. The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, gives you the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use any storage for that purpose, so there is nothing here to opt out of. Your other privacy rights are described in our Privacy Policy, and they apply regardless of cookies.

European Union and United Kingdom. Our services are directed to property owners and investors in the United States, and we do not target or offer services to individuals in the EU or UK. Should the ePrivacy Directive nonetheless be applied to a visit from there, Article 5(3) exempts storage that is strictly necessary to provide a service the user explicitly requested. The authentication and security items above fall within that exemption, and the language preference is set only by your own click.

You can delete or block cookies at any time through your browser settings — every major browser lets you view stored items per site, remove them, or refuse them altogether. Clearing them is safe: you will simply be signed out and your language preference will reset to the default.

If you block cookies entirely, the public pages of the site will still work, but you will not be able to sign in, because sign-in depends on the session cookies described above.

If we add, remove, or change what we store, we will update this page and its effective date. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
